PPP - Task 1 - Admiration

To complete the task, I first had to understand what admiration consisted of:

From this, I gathered to admire someone is to respect, regard highly and/or appreciate a persons attributes, work or other aspect of character.

From my own recent work and long term interest in design, I have chosen Antonio Carusone as an individual I admire.

Who is Antonio Carusone?

Aisle. One is Carusone's personal blog, one of my main resources of inspiration, guidance and education. Focusing on 4 of my own favourite aspects and movements within design, the blog fits perfectly with my preferred approach to design. My most respected aspect of Carusone's work is the similarity between my own and his personal preference to design.

Information found on Aisle. One.net

An extract from an interview with Carusone in 'Design Made In Germany'. The selflessness, guidance and education he offers freely is admirable and an aspect of his character I highly respect.
A screenshot from a another of the designer's projects, 'Vetted' is a curated collection of a great range of products. His take upon a lifestyle in every aspect is one I take much interest in, making good design a key feature of my own lifestyle is hopeful.
'Systems' is one of, if not my favourite exhibitions I have encountered, a mix of minimalism, modernism, Braun products and Dieter Rams product design are all aspects of design I take great interest in. I do hope to visit the exhibition in London before the 31st of December. Not only is it the exhibition I am fond of but Carusone's contribution to the project, he designed the official website and submitted three of his own responses.

The rationale of Carusone's submission. I highly respect the aesthetic and concept of his work due to its minimalism, great reference and his interpretation of the use of a grid.

His free online resources are invaluable, not just because of context, but the organised and ease of accessing these resources is great for students such as myself.

His online presence is a great source of information for any designer and I highly respect his approach to blogging; the information and guidance he gives is almost similar to a tutor.

Contacts details are easily found on each of his related projects, aisle one also has a twitter account managed by Carusone.
