Reflection - My own work

 Starting the course I was set on Modernist graphic design principles as the truth. I didn’t question them and was set on creating reflections of my favourite designer's work, such as Antonio Carusone and Massimo Vignelli.

 It has been a conscious decision and my criticisms of the limitations and similarity of Modernist work that has almost repelled me into a focus of experimentation, technology and expression.

I created this typeface in reflection to Herbert Bayer’s universal. Evidence of this reflection of Modernism in my own work;

My response to a manipulation of a typeface.

Herbert Bayers universal.

 I created this poster in reflection of my new focus of contemporary graphic design:

My favorite brief this year has been the recent speaking from experience.

The publication I created seems to be a round up of all of the years’ highlights.

A quote taken from the PPP Manifesto task:

‘To stay immersed within design as a whole.’

25 out of the 27 sources of inspiration featured were unknown to me at the beginning of the year.

I began to talk to other designers outside of the LCA realm; including designers from Germany and Singapore.
