Looking back on the 'Five thing I would do differently next time' will identify how I need to develop for the future:
Summarising these end of module evaluations, I have identified the issues I need to address:
Blogging - This has been a new revelation to me this year, as I am sure it has to the majority of the course. I have struggled blogging every day and I believe it has affected my submissions. I need to indeed start recording my practice daily, this will relieve the pressure I have experienced close to deadlines.
Experimentation - This has been a key focus for me, I have lacked in experimentation this year due the strict nature and mandatory requirements of some briefs. Next year I intend to stretch the limitations of set briefs to allow my own development as a designer. Experimenting in my own time is a way around this.
Creating Contacts - Talking to design professionals, design students, artists. Basically anyone that will enhance my contact list, anyone that may be able to help me or vice versa. This is important for my own development and future in the industry.
Personal Projects - Working in my own time without deadlines and mandatory requirements can only be a good thing. This will be the opportunity I need to develop as well create contacts. Focusing on my own interests will make the work enjoyable.
